How come I kill watches when i wear them?

watches
girl4whales asked:

This has been going on for years. But when I wear my watches, they slow down, or just die. I go thru watches like others go thru contacts. Doesnt even matter what type of watch!! This is not only driving me crazy, but it isnt cheap having to buy new watches. And yes, in my life I need to know what time it is and need to have a watch. And no, it doesnt have anything to do with the area I am in. Can someone please explain this? Thank you so much!

its something in your body i cant remember what my friend has this problem, but if you get a piece of velcro and put it on the back of your watch so that the back wont touch you skin you wont have a problem

I don’t know for sure, but the same thing happens to me. One or two have died right away, all of the others have just slowly died over the course of about a week or two. Weird huh? I remember working in the school library when that new fangled magnetic stripping was introduced, I played with it alot as well as working with and near it, it’s really the only thing I can think of that could have had an effect. Maybe our aura’s are just sparkling!

My Father and I share your concern because we both had this problem. We could walk into a room with a TV playing and disrupt the picture. I did the same thing, went through watches like no tomorrow. What I ended up doing was getting a pocket watch. It worked forever. Not the battery kind, but the wind up yourself kind. You just have to remember to wind it once a day. And just because it is normal for a guy to wear and use a pocket watch doesn’t mean you can’t. In this day and age, you should try it.

I can’t explain this to you either, but I hope someone can because my husband has the same issue! I found it interesting that one person replied to your question that he and his father disrupt the tv image when they walk by it, because although my husband dosn’t disrupt the image, he can come home and tell if a tv is on in the house if it is on mute or just a blank screen as soon as he walks through the door. He says he can hear it, and he even can tell which room it’s in, I know I can’t hear tv’s if there is no volume on, so I wonder if there is a connection between the two issues?

These things happen! Try getting a tougher watch if you have a big Bucks get a Rolex, omega, tag dive watch! These are very very strong watches because they have to survive in depth’s of 300+ ft. If you aren’t willing on spending $1000 the G-Shock watches are very strong also!

You should look for watches that are water proof from 200M or up!
